I think the above line says it all. Otaku must have faith in Haruhi. Because. *Sings that George Michael song.* Even if the episode sequence gets jumbled up and our pitiful little human brains cannot immediately fathom the reason. Even if she seems like a capricious, petty, murderous God who has demanded that the sacrifice of the firstborn… ohwaitaminutesorry, that’s the other guy. In any case, I thought this episode was important to soften Haruhi’s less endearing traits and paves the way for gentle lurv-lurv mood in the next episode if the preview dialogue was anything to go by. Well, while it is a day in the life of COL Teletha Tessarosa, it’s an atypical day as the title literally means "A Day of a Squadron Commander with free time and no assignment".
Tessa has a dream of the TDD1 under attack but her XO and bridge bunnies have all morphed into Sousukes who confess their love for her. Waking up on the bridge but thinking she is still dreaming, Tessa chances upon Sousuke in the hangars and procedes to sexually harass him. Things have started to get a little weird after a roaming photographer who’s going to be murdered along with his girlfriend told me that Rena has had four boyfriends in the past four years and all of them have died horrible deaths after making fun of her hairstyle.
