While SUNRISE succeeds in making the story feel more integrated, some of the manga's jokes didn't work so well as they did in the manga. Caveat: I only own Vol 1-2 and merely browsed the rest though I plan on catching up. Specifically about Koyuki, yes - she still has the hots for Natsumi. And she is even more <a href="http://anime.miao.us/archives/2005/09/28/420/" rel="nofollow">aggressive</a> about it compared to the anime with Natsumi getting groped by Koyuki's "let me wash your back / oh my hand slipped!" repeatedly.
