Having Saber’s hair unbraided and loose was a lovely touch.
Not much mocking of this episode from me as I was pretty happy with it. The romantic scenes between Rin Shirou and Saber was just right. Music throughout complemented and supported the various moods nicely and didn’t intrude too much. The end of the episode was a bit like a bad horror flick though.
The first is Unchained Melody. I know the second one, but I don’t know the title (I believe it is “It’s in his kiss).
BTW, the first song was from Ghost, and (I know I’m gonna get this wrong) the second one appeared in Sister Act.
Righteous brothers did a version of Unchained Melody, and Cher did a version of the second song. I am not sure of the originals, however.

For the second one, yes I’m thinking of the Cher version so that should be a big hint on the movie. ;)

No one admitting to having seen these movies at the time of first release? :P And I was actually singing Unchained Melody to myself when screencapping the radish peeling scene. I wonder if someone will produce a parody of Saber x Shirou doing the Demi Moore x Patrick Swayze pottery scene.
Oh and I forgot to add my horrible pun for this episode: If Shirou is Saber’s scabbard (saya), then does that make Saber Shirou’s Hagi? And that would make Rin the equivalent of Kaori. ;)
