After my wringing over Ep19, Ep20 has managed to satisfy me somewhat. I AM still grumpy over Caster’s treatment, but for now I will live and let live.
One of the things that I liked about F/SN was the casual development of the characters. I did not watch F/SN for hopes of ‘cool’ fights, although such events are nice bonuses of course. Which was why I throughly enjoyed the early episodes, despite the many, many whines of people( who claim to be ‘fans’) that F/SN was too… ’slow’.
Sigh… the cries for immediate gratification. Almost always a recipe for disaster.
That said, I was happy that they decided to explore more of the characters’ motivation for fighting the Holy Grail War( even if it is just Shirou and Saber). It gives them more… dimensions. More reason for an audience to empathise with them( or despise them, in other cases).
So yeah, I like Ep20. More expositions please( and Ilya, more Ilya… in non-traumatic situations).

I was sooooo depressed after watching the second half of 19 and ep 20 but I always revive after reading your caps. You are my revival pill. I hope you continue.

I was trying to prevent my ribs from breaking after reading these caps. If only that is how the show went.
But I think Gil-sama would’ve said this: “Hnmm…So, you didn’t leave me for this loser but this so called Rin. I want to meet her. *Glares* Take me to her now, OR DIE.”
Skane, I never played the game so I don’t consider myself a fan of F/SN. Mainly picked it up because everyone else was so excited about it and the curtain raiser looked so action-packed and promising. I still consider the first few eps to be ’slow’ as too much time was wasted on developing Shirou’s hero of justice BS instead of his relationship with Rin or Saber.
Demon Eyes, glad you enjoyed the captions. F/SN has just been quite a delight to mock. Unfortunately I dislike Goldie so far - as a result he’ll stay Mr Performance Anxiety for now.
