Just when I was complaining about the dire need for more yuri humour in School Rumble, here’s an episode with four aspects of insinuation that made my reptilian brain muchly happy. I’ve been a fan of the MikoEri pairing but it’s rather one-sided.
Eri certainly has a female akogare brigade though not on the scale of the Strawberry Panic crew.
Arika hitting on Yakumo 4tw. This was rather more direct compared to the previous time after the bride photo session when she was Yakumo’s groom and proposed to take Yakumo on a date, leaving Hanai and Harima in the dust. Squeal of “I’m so envious!” from Sara. LOL
Perhaps there’s hope for Imadori as a person after all.

Now on to the real substance of the episode…
Like the Akogare Gals, I thought the Eri x Yakumo dance was very nice, especially since Eri was still in her prince getup. Or was it the class band’s uniform? In any case, it thought it was nice that Eri and Yakumo could speak frankly to each other about Harima. Even though misunderstanding and miscommunication forms the basis for much of the humour in this series, it can get a bit too much sometimes. This ‘tuning’ of the situation seems like a good way to develop a respectful rivalry between the two girls - amazingly, neither of them has yet to realize whom Harima’s heart belongs to.
Yakumo knows that Harima cares for her sister a lot. That is why she initially agreed to help Harima. She also knows that Harima doesn’t love her as of now, for she cannot see his mind, except for brief incidence when Harima was delusional.
Ah, thanks for the reminder, wontaek. It was quite cute how wistful Yakumo was when she admitted to Eri that she and Harima weren’t dating, it’s like she wished that they were dating. Other than Shimako Toudo in MariMite and Hazuki in Yamibou, I think Mamiko Noto does bring something quite distinctive to her Yakumo role. The whole Harima thing really changed my opinion of Yakumo as initially I found her to be quite a boring character.
Also I wonder what Yakumo whispered to Eri that made the latter give up on waking up Princess Harima?

I suspect that the author could not find the right word at that time, so he delayed it using the blank. Whether he chooses to take advantage of it or not remains to be seen. It is possible that the answer is much more bland in line of
” Yes. We are working on some projects together. “
I am surprised Eri didn’t make a bigger deal of the fact that both Harima and Yakumo were in bed together at the start of the scene.
I guess both Harima and Yakumo being fully clothed helped reduced potential Eri fuss.
Then again, it could have been super kinky bloodninja cyber.
