While no one has turned psychotic as yet in this arc (oh how I miss psycho-moe Rena tan!), I suspect we would be seeing a lot of Oyashiro mode next ep since Keichii has officially flipped out at the end of ep 6 (remembering how Keichii only encountered oyashiro-mode Rena/Mion after becoming paranoid in Onikakushi.) Personally, I’m suspicious of Shion. The only time I was sure Shion was Shion was the opening scene when Mion and Shion appeared together and she was cunningly manipulative then. Even though recent trends and conventional wisdom would implicate the sweet/bento-making Mion to be the crazy one. Ah well, only ep 7 will tell… or maybe not. It was intentional :) But anyways, Kaede in the game is actually pretty normal. The whole batshit insane part in the anime is an original plot. Well... I missed out Marimite... so I can't actually be qualified to really say anything about the origins of the yuri craze. But definitely it was Kannamiko that started it out for me.
