The animation quality for the first half of the episode bothered me a lot, the faces especially looked weirdly shaped. Some enjoyable yuri humour between Yuma and Ayano as well as Eriko’s antipathy to overly eager male teachers.

Eriko: Ayano, do you need my help?
Ayano: No, just Yuma will do.

Well, we already know that Mamiko Noto can moan.

Something sisterly this way comes.

I was a bit surprised at the dramatic turn taken by this series (which I had mentally classifie as Brainless Fun) and even more so that I enjoyed it a lot - a mix of it because it was fairly faithful to the manga, it explored Yuma x Ayano’s relationship as well as highlighting one of those contra-Azumanga themes (meow!) that most high school series don’t really explore in a sustained manner.
A thought: Yuma’s speech is quite coarse and tomboyish but, oddly, she occasionally refers to herself in the third person which I found a bit incongruous…
And much happiness that LIME has resumed subbing of this series!
