This week’s hairtoss! Much fun and hilarity as blackmail, sexual harrassment and cosplay abounds - also loved her victory dance over the Computer Club and her Foot Stomping Against the Teachers. I suppose one of the reasons why Haruhi, the character, movie and anime, delights me is because it reminds me of a Kyon-like friendship I had with a crazy junior college (=high school) classmate - incidentally she’s now working as a public service documentary producer in the US. (;^_^)
Unlike my ever so kind brother Stripey, I had absolutely no pity for Mikuru at all. In fact I even laughed with pure and unadultered delight as Haruhi, leading by example, subjected the poor dear to more fun / humiliation. Mikuru’s pathetic “Iyaa desu~~” was particularly good. Hmmm… maybe that’s why he’s got a harem and I don’t. LOL

Yuki made a strong impression, in this episode, as a Rei clone but in a positive way. The elevator ride reminded of the awkward silences on trips to and fro the Eva cages and test platforms. Minori Chihara conveys a great sense of stillness, immovable as the mountain, which underlays the calmly childlike mannerisms of Yuki Nagato.
I can’t really tell one Gundam from another as only one particular model means anything to me. Given that the ED has mesmerized so many fans, this send-up is really appropriate and a load of laughs. Released by Quantum Raws though I have no idea who actually made this hilarous MV.
Quoting from Kyon 3:16 eh bro? The gundam parody is simply amazing. Almost timed to perfection. Who ever did this should go on and make a model-kit version of GSD (ala Thumb-wars) :)
I really hope that there will be a Haruhi ED mass dance at an anime convention in the future. What a glorious sight it’ll be! (;^_^)

I watched Suzumiya Haruhi again, this time pausing to grab every joke.
And I loved it. If this doesn’t go the route where Haruhi goes all soft because of love, I will add it to my “All Fav” list.
For some reason it reminds me of that Live Action “Shimotsuma Monogatari” I watched not a while ago.
It’s like Suzumiya Haruhi but instead of Kyon doing the narration, Haruhi herself is doing it.
It’s too damn funny that I almost broke my ribs and I had to Watch Suzumiya after it!!
Damn.
And tomorrow i have to go to see Scary Movie IV, Will my ribs servive? I doubt it.
Oh, I forgot to mention how I liked Haruhi’s manipulating of the Computer Club.
She is so SUCCESSFULLY EVIL, you just gotta love her.
Dancing otaku. Ideally, it should be a mass dance… hundreds of otaku in a coordinated fashion, maybe at the Baltimore Convention Centre at this year’s Otakon. About the sequences where the ED doesn’t show any dance moves/steps, I suggest the dancers just stand or squat around chatting, checking mobile phones or pick noses/ears. LOL
Haruhi is so utterly so self-centred that she’s transcended the concept of good and evil. But she’s so feisty and fun that I find myself liking her a lot anyway. She’s got a ‘can’t help myself’ type of attractive effect on me. (;^_^)
