Less time to blog this week (and next) due to being orz’ed by course work so just a few quick comments. Summer festival episode and the subject of Hazumu’s habitual indecisiveness. I wonder how she’ll score on Myers-Briggs?
After hearing that Hazumu is looking forward to seeing her in a yukata, Tomari dashes home and begs her mother to buy her super cute yukata. Her little brother thinks that Tomari has lost it while her mother is so overjoyed that Tomari wants to look feminine that she calls her husband to return from work immediately - I wonder how her mom will react if she tells them she’s in love with Hazumu. -_-;; I loved this part in the manga because it reminded me somewhat of how Kagura reported that her yukata was brand new because her father was so happy that she wanted one.
The twirling of the obi seemed like another Azumanga reference as well - Tomoe’s family game when a new yukata is purchased.
I’ve only just noticed that Hazumu’s mom is taller than her dad by almost a whole head!
Ayuki is a wonderful supporting character. I love her droll expression and voice mixed with that sparkle of mischief. So much funnier as she slide into the frame, commenting on how happy Tomari was at Hazumu’s compliment that she looked cute in the yukata.
You don’t have to choose if this is a harem series, Hazumu! The anime has certainly developed the Yasuna-Tomari friendship much more (especially with Yasuna’s yukata loan to Tomari) and, unexpectedly, their rapport does work. I agree with Omni that this is pointing more towards a three-girl ending though I am also deeply apprehensive and completely against Hazumu turning back into a boy at the end.
I don’t know why Hazumu has to choose between one them when she could just choose both. So, when is the Hazumu-Tomari or the Tomari-Yasuna kiss gonna happen? Yuri rules!!
