Keroro Gunso 98

Momoka plans another overly elaborate attempt to win Fuyuki’s heart - this time by pretending to elope with one of her guards and thus arouse Fuyuki’s jealousy. Things, of course, don’t go according to plan but thanks to Keroro’s bungling, things actually turn out quite well for the couple. The question I want to ask is: “Kakeochi umai-ii?” (Is elopement delicious?)

Daughter of Corisca, accept this flower circlet from the daughter of Sicily!

Memories of that Kasumi Looking At the Sunset in the Trees scene from DOA…
“I want to be that leaf, man,” I said.
“I want to be her robe,” someone else said.

The second half is about Dororo and Koyuki’s first meeting. Background is that Dororo is upset that Keroro has forgotten about him. Again. Koyuki dreams about her childhood in the ninja village and her friend, Mokuro. Turns out that Koyuki is an exceptional ninja, able to break the barrier seal and rescue Mokuro. Times are changing, says the Leader Old Man. She takes the injured Dororo (who she first thought was a kappa) in. Later the village disperses. Koyuki is awoken up from her dream and cheers Dororo up, just in time for Keroro and Tamama to drop by to apologize. Later, as badly drawn Koyuki is cuddling up to Natsumi on the street, Mokuro passes them and smiles.

I like how good-natured Koyuki is. Dororo is a bit emo but I suppose Keroro can be rather inconsiderate. At least he has Koyuki as a good friend. Also good that Koyuki is an excellent ninja unlike another cute and incompetent lesbian ninja girl *cough Shinobu cough* because it helps for more crazy hijinks in the series.

It’s a pretty crazy series. Not a Mai Hime parody though. A worthy rival to the long, open-ended Rumiko Takahashi series.
