“Don’t worry, I won’t steal your lovely Saber away.” ‘I’ll just have t3h s3x with her on the sly,’ is what I would loved to hear Rin thinking. Really enjoyed all of Rin’s screentime particularly her offer to handle Taiga-nee so while I thought Chris’ renaming of this series as “Yawn/Good Night” was witty, I can’t really agree with it. Yet.
Poor Taiga-nee. (^_^;) She’s been defeated by two members of Shirou’s harem already. Miki Itou does the dejected Taiga-nee sob really well - pathetic but in a cute sort of way.
+10 points for Sakura for her defiance of Rin! That really warmed my heart. If she had done the Innocent Girl Running Away Crying thing, it would have been soooo annoying. Her parting words of “I trust you too, Emiya-senpai.” also had its hidden barb. Lovely harem fun.
The girls absolutely own this show. Rin sparkles again, and not only she is both cute AND interesting, she also brings out the best in the characters around her. And yes, I have hopes that they WILL put Sakura to a good use and NOT just let her sit by the sideline.
Nevertheless: I fear that Stripey with his Sakura fandom will be in for a very very tough ride. But - I’m glad she’s around :)
Shouldn’t that be “… she said, while holding a knife threateningly close to Shirou’s throat, a simple flick of the wrist away from opening it and removing one more Master between herself and the grail”? :D
Of course, if they come anywhere close to the Heaven’s Feel arc for plot-points… I suspect we’re going to see a lot of.. ah… action. And not the nice, ‘Saber chases someone with a sword’ type action either.
Y’know… over the past 2 days, I’ve seen episodes 1-7 of “Fate/Stay Night,” and I could not find any trace of sexual tension between Rin and Saber. There’s more chemistry between Rin and Shirou. Heck, there’s more chemistry between Rin and the ground she walks on. @_@
I think that what Rin needs is a strong male lead for a pairing. A male that will stand up to her as quickly as he would defend her. A man of both ironclad resolution *and* powerful sentiment.

I can’t help but have illusions…VERY GOOD ILLUSIONS of what they were doing or talking about.
And it is shown that Saber understands Rin more than her master Shirou. Hmm…wonder what the answer would be if rin asked Saber to be her servant> Ofcourse it’s practicall a NO but the answer in her head I bet in a BIG YES with Kaorin(AzumangaDaioh) background.

W4 - Yes, agree that there’s no sexual tension b/w Rin and Saber thus far so I’m just holding out for emergency casual sex. ;) As for the pairing with Giroro, I think he’d be too shy and overly embarrassed to express his feelings (again). LOL
Demon Eyes - asexual? bisexual maybe… Rin does understand Saber better but it’s because Rin and Saber have bought into the normative assumptions of the Holy Grail War. Shirou OTOH has not. I have a feeling that the FSN anime will be premised on Shirou’s beliefs changing the rules of the game with a view to ending it forever.
