Yeah, yeah, I know I said I was dropping this series but simply couldn’t resist seeing Kaori x Saya again. ^_^ No action this episode but I absolutely loved it. The three adopted siblings go to their dad’s family tomb. Lunch. Park. High-jump at school. Then beach BBQ before setting out to sea again.
Medal for Kai for the most useful thing he’s done in this series so far. Getting Rick to tell Kaori to wait for Saya and then bringing Saya to the meeting place as a surprise. Awww. Also loved it when Rick said that the two brothers should go up and join them but Kai says they should just leave them both alone for a while. Awwww. The reunion scene with the alternating perspectives and the right to left pan with plenty of hair billowing wind and just a simple "Tadaima" and "Okaeri".
It was awfully sweet when Kaori offered to do whatever she could to support Saya and that she was still her friend no matter what. Saya decides to spend some quality time together - high-jump, shopping, BBQ at the beach, fireworks. Almost like a date.
Ah, parting is such sweet sorrow. Notably, Saya grimaced as Kaori broke down after wishing her "ganbatte ne" and "itterasai" but then had a look of determination as she walked away, not turning back. So I guess no Kaori for a while. Hopefully that means that Kaori won’t be killed or Chipoterianised and we’ll get a nice conclusion where Saya can return victorious and Kaori welcome her back to Okinawa by jumping into her arms. :D

I completely second that sentiment. I’ve been really enjoying this series, for the most part. but more KaoriXSaya can only make it better.
My only concern is that I really want Saya to reconcile with her past and her memories faster, and get back to kicking Chiropteran and preening, pretty boy ass.
