Yamibou 8

An ancient Japan type world this time. Hazuki (Hatsuki?) saves a cute fox spirit, Meirin, from a band of samurai. She ends up meeting Princess Fuji who is a dead ringer for Hatsumi except that she speaks. She also uses an ornate comb that Hatsumi used in Ep 7 and the legend around the comb is the same Eve legend encountered elsewhere. Ninjas, intent on gaining Princess Fuji’s mysterious power, attack the mansion while Lilith and Meirin ride their coattails in.

Hazuki criticizes the samurai for being unmanly in ganging up on a female. The implication, of course, is that in smacking them all down, Hazuki is more manly than the whole bunch minus the Jubei knockoff. It’s quite funny how weak Meirin’s magic is but that’s indicated by the fact she has only two tails (very powerful fox spirits have a maximum of nine tails).

The scene on the right just reminded me of Miu’s antics - only that Ichigo Mashimaro was crazier.

Awww for Hazuki as she deflated when Princess Fuji firmly but very compassionately told her that she is not the one Hazuki is seeking.

The household samurai are no match for the ninja - which is obvious since scantily clad magical girls will always overpower generic male goons.
