There’s been plenty of buzz about WordPress 2.0 in the anime blogging community and I’ve just hopped onto this bandwagon as well. Was due for a mySQL database backup anyway. So far so good though I must confess that I’m not a fan of the rich visual editor - having trouble controlling text alignment and my old SOP (basically ctrl-C the html, ctrl-V, modify numbers) for inserting images was quicker. What I do really like is the WYSIWYG post preview, which incorporates your theme - absolutely brilliant!
ShortStat is not compatiable with WP 2.0 but I won’t be missing it as it was becoming kinda clunky - am waiting for Google Analytics to reopen to new signups.
[Edit: SK2 issues - comment count does not update even though comments are accepted. Easily fixed with an additional .php file via The Lair. Thanks to Clopin for raising this issue and the solution in the WP troubleshooting documentation!]
Hmm, that is my SOP as well… crud… Can you turn off the new editor?
For some reason I totally forgot to mention that bit about the awesome preview pane. It totally makes the upgrade worth it, and I noted it in my blog now.
BTW, the version of ShortStat they have as incompatible is 1.2, but 1.3 works fine on my blog… I noted it on the Wordpress plugins compatibility page. Also strange is that the page for shortstat says current version 1.2, but the download is 1.3…

Kabitzin> Yes, the editor can be disabled under options - writing. Also found the size of the post box too small but that’s easy to adjust. Just discovered some SK2 issues - number of comments not being updated in the comment count. Attempting to remedy now via the WP codex documentation and an SK2 compatiability plugin.
