hontou ni sou omou?

It’s a 2004 series (official website) but I’ve been itching to blog it so here goes. Overall story is Klutzy Girl (Himeko) who is loved by the School Princess (Chikane) and the Prince of Tennis (Souma). Throw in pseudo-Shinto blah blah, miko cosplay and big robots but it still boils down to: “Who will get the klutzy girl?”

Souma turns out to an Orochi minion and heads off to destroy the shrine maiden of the sun (Himeko) but as evil is no match for horniness, he turns against the Orochi’s will and beats down a fellow servitor.

Being cool and having ominous flashbacks cannot hold back horniness either, leading Chikane to plant a gobsmacker on Himeko. Unhappily for Chikane, the general pattern from Ep 2-7 will be:

Himeko crying; Chikane comforting her; Orochi minions attack; Chikane being useless while Souma saves the day; Chikane angsting over her uselessness and repressed lesbian desire.
