Honoka breaks up with Yamato. In the end, it was surprisingly amicable as she accepted his present and gave him a farewell kiss.
Last week’s episode was so mortifying that it was hard to blog about it for a while. When Yamato was mouthing off, he was trying to tell Honoka that Suzuka was grumpy, not much help and that finally he chose the present, not Suzuka. Whereas what Honoka picked up on were the emotional cues regarding Yamato’s feelings for Suzuka. Classic Allan & Barbara Pease stuff.
And have seen too much of stuff like this from the sidelines of real life. Guy is good friends with girl that girlfriend can’t stand. Girlfriend delivers ultimatum. Guy thinks girlfriend has become paranoid and possessive. Now ex-girlfriend goes on general offensive to make sure everyone knows what a rotten guy he is. Guy has no allies as he’s neglected all his friends when going with girlfriend etc etc etc. >_<

Well, Honoka certainly isn’t a doormat. I got so irritated with Yamato’s constant whines of "Wakane!" (I have no f*cking clue) that I was cheering when Honoka gave him a piece of her mind, hitting the nail on the head that he has always been thinking of Suzuka, seems happier when he’s spending time with her and probably still likes her.
Though Honoka-chan was also taken aback by Yamato’s declaration that he was thinking about her when they were going to school together, when she cooked for him and when he was looking for her present. And that he found her genuinely attractive when they first agreed to become a couple. On that only positive note of an overall crappy situation, Honoka decides that they should part on good terms.

Chris’ prediction sounds really plausible. Also since I hear the manga hasn’t ended yet and no second season is planned, we might even get a non-conclusive ending when no one gets together with anyone. Rather like School Rumble, only in real-life-emotional-train-wreck-style rather than lame weirdness.
LOL biggest spoiler of my life! Haha I was scrolling down, and accidently read “Honoka breaks up with Yamato”! Intriguing, couldn’t stop myself, had to read further..yes she gave him a piece of her mind! FIGHTO HONOKA-CHAN! Haha, hmm I wonder if its really over?
Ah so sorry! You probably saw the spoiler on the AB Antenna, right? I haven’t read the manga but I think there’s a fairly good reason that the anime is called “Suzuka” … :)
LOL nope I saw the spoiler here. I was checking your post on Mai Otome 6 and my eyes just wandered off. BAM! LOL its ok…at least it wasn’t like “Honoka forgiven Yamto and decided to keep on going out with him.” Than I would be like GOD DAMN, this anime is ruined.
LOL true! To keep viewers watching, the creator should’ve named it Yamato. Than ppl will keep on watching to see who he picks near the end. Or like shuffle for instance, it they named it Asa, than ppl probably wouldn’t be interested in it anymore. LOL and then there are ppl like us who would keep cheering her on..;)

OH LORRRRRRRRD YAMATOS AN IDIOT THOUGH… I mean GEEEEEEEEEEZ he so blew it with both of them Honoka deserves better and Suzuka….well honestly i didn’t even LIKE Suzuka since well EVER shes such an icequeen HMF probably shes purposely ruining Yamato and Honoka’s relationship (ANGRY MODE) But i think Honoka DOES want Yamato back in the recently updated anime… AND I WAS LIK WTF!?? god…this is so screwed… :’(
