A supporting cast episode featuring Mayumi Thyme and Benibara Nadeshiko. There’s a nice scene in the cafe Flora when Nadeshiko-sensei wrangles homemade sausages out of Asa-chan. Apparently her culinary reputation extends beyond the students and to the teachers as well. Nadeshiko-sensei is surprised when Asa-chan reveals that there is a guy who is special to her.

Asa-chan smiles in relief at having escaped, on this occasion, life line by line’s MECM (Moyism Ero-Causation Mosiac) which creates ero and ecchi situations out of situations where there were none! Amazing! E.g. last pic in ep 7 post, ninth pic in ep 10 post.
I’ve always liked Mayumi for her noisy nosy exuberance and the interesting character design of having two different coloured pupils. Nowhere as cool or insightful as Tsutako from Marimite but she’s very likeable especially when ineffectually trying to pound Itsuki (reminding me of Mako vs Suginami in Da Capo) or defending the virtues of the flat chested. I agree with Moyism that physically, at least she has got da booty.
Nadeshiko-sensei showed wisdom in her advice to the student who wanted to be like her but also seemed to lack direction in her own life. A bit of Azumanga’s Yukari and Nyamo-senseis in her home life there. Insight about others often comes more easily than insight about oneself. Some serious power in slicing a glass bottle in half with her bare hand in warning off the nampa attempt. Contra Moyism, there are hot teachers out there. Or at least I (and probably Stripey too) do clearly remember some from secondary school. A Chinese teacher. A Math teacher. And two relief teachers. Gosh, that was so long ago!

actually no. I don’t know Zyl nor Stripey in person. I think Zyl is referring to one of the comments I made about there not being hot teachers in real life like Benibara-sensei.

About hot teachers in RL now, some of my school mates are teachers now and a few are pretty hot. One of them was telling me: “The way those horny little bastards look at me…” / Zyl: Oh, you mean like this? ~demonstrates~ / “Yeah, something like th… WTF!?” LOL.
Anyway, *who* would name their kids Nadeshiko in RL anyway? It’s such a heavy name to carry especially if the daughter were anything less than stunning!

ahh.. I think you two should either watch or play To Heart 2 then. For Zyl, Tamaki is the perfect “onee-san” while for Stripey adorable Konomi fits his “imouto-chan” needs ;)
