Lunamaria Hawke: I wanted to talk to Shinn about the Chairman’s Destiny Plan but Rey told me to get lost. I went to the hangar to mope and stare at the Gundams. I think I am turning into Athrun. Later the Great FAITH strategist and pilot Rey allowed me to have an audience with his co-FAITH member, my boyfriend. Shinn said that Rey was explaining important things about the Destiny Plan to him. I wanted to talk about that too. Why is Rey treating me like that? Later Vino told us that the Arzchael EA base had been destroyed by Requiem. Rey confirmed that ZAFT forces did it and that Shinn would have to destroy the next enemy, Archangel, to protect the world that he wished for.
Zyl: No funny titles this time either. The series makes me so miserable that I don’t even want to make fun of it. Rey’s hostility to Lunamaria probably stems from a few things. Firstly, Rey probably feels that his concern for her makes him less effective in battle. Secondly, he probably suspects that Lunamaria may be or become disloyal, like her sister and maybe because of that little incident with her sister and Athrun running away on a Gouf and being shot down by Shinn and him.

Zyl, not like they have time to really do the deed since they’re either fighting battles or scheming over who they have to fight next (Shinn and Rey at least). Poor Lunamaria just wants some quality time too…. WTF is Shinn doing!?

Yes but (1) I liked her better before she got together with Shinn - afterwhich she was Cagallised. (2) I am also a realist. A few major indications that she’s going to buy the farm. She got the hand-me-down Impulse, she’s most precious person now (look at what happened to Mayu and Stellar), there’s the Rey vs Shinn confrontation in the OP which could only possible arise from Rey trying to harm Lunamaria and there’s still the Newtype moment b/w Lunamaria and Shinn (again, cf Shinn-Stellar and Kira-Fllay suggesting it is a death-related or near-death experience). Sigh…
Yes, dom33 I am a Lunamaria fan. That’s why I’m upset at how things have turned out and am trying to lighten me own mood with a laugh or two.
Shinn doesn’t need to get it on with Lunamaria, he has that cellphone.
