Gundam SEED Destiny 43

Lunamaria Hawke: The battle of Orb didn’t going well even after Rey joined the fray against Freedom as Justice reappeared and neutralised Destiny and Legend’s initial advantage. I was scrambled to intercept the Saylan shuttle which probably carried Djibril but I failed to shoot to it down, allowing it to escape into space. Damn, now I’m a liability to Shinn in combat and it seems I can’t shoot straight. Later, Cagalli-san’s broadcast is hijacked by that hussy but is then counter hijacked by the real Lacus Clyne. What’s going on?

FMP! The Second Raid 03-04

Have been tardy with watching this because I knew, via Omni, that Ep 3 was a cliffhanger and there’s only so much cliffhanging I can take while followning GSD. And Ep 3-4 is one story arc so it would still be quite neat to look at them with one pass. Also have been marathoning my Cardcaptor Sakura DVDs because I’ve been feeling so lousy lately even the alcohol isn’t helping anymore. Ah, CCS *is* the perfect antidote to angst.

The Mithril team goes on a rescue mission that turns into trap in an old Chinese tunnel complex. I rather liked the idea of the politics of a North vs South China because historically it’s happened before (e.g. latter Song Dynasty) and because North and South China are really quite different places in terms of geography, climate, language (dialects), food and the temperament of the people. Due to the elements of surprise and treachery, all looks lost but due to strong teamwork between ops and HQ, they turn the tables on their opponents.

Da Capo Second Season 06

I have no clue why people who read anime blogs also want to be shielded from spoilers. If one reads episode reporting type anime blogs, one would expect plenty of spoilers, right? And many anime bloggers who don’t report but write opinion pieces often assume their readers have already seen the episode. So there. Spoiler warnings muyo!

I wasn’t even to watch, much less blog this series but the promise of a Miharu episode proved too much of a lure for me. Of course, we get much more than that. This episode is called “Miharu’s letter” and I have a tonne of Miharu screencaps. Just love her as a character. She’s not the brightest person and a little weird (bananas) but she’s cheerful, energetic and has the most common sense in the whole series. Plus she really luuuuuurves Nemu. How cool is that? They should just bump off Junichi and make it into a yuri harem series. Mwahahaha!!!

Gundam SEED Destiny 42

Lunamaria Hawke: Shinn’s Destiny took that golden commander-type mobile suit down a few pegs but was interrupted by the return of Freedom. Rey later got him to return to the Minerva to recharge and resupply. I wanted to join him and Rey in battle but Rey said that, right now, I am a distraction to Shinn and will cause him to lose.

Ichigo Mashimaro 03

Matsuri helps Ana practice English in school. Ana decides to do her secret training in the privacy of her home and invites Matsuri over on Sunday afternoon. On Sunday, Nobue is ‘lured’ to Miu’s room by Miu’s ‘kidnapping’ of Matsuri who only manages to leave for Ana’s house after being affixed in nekomimi attire by Nobue. Miu promptly describes Nobue as ‘oyaji’ - with the dirty old man connotation. :-D Loved how Nobue stomps on Miu. Rather like the way Yumi and Yumi’s dad occasional description of Sei in the MariMite novels (I know this via notes by Okazu.) Nobue, Chika and later Miu invite themselves into Ana’s home, much to her consternation. Miu is introduced to the Coppola family dog the hard way. Ana seems to look up to Nobue, calling her ‘Oneesama’ with that oh-so-sweet Shimako intonation. Aaah. Btw Ana’s English sucks. Rather like my Chinese. -_-;; Characters have all been introduced and the interaction is really warming up.
