Man, those SD GSD figures are hilarious! I especially like the little Gilbert behind Rey, and also the little sulky Athrun behind Lunamaria. Crybaby Shinn was very accurate, and the others were adorable!

T_Ikazuchi> Yes, I agree with you about the Archangel team's lack of knowledge is a key factor in their relative passivity. I think this ep went a little further to elaborate on Kira's idealism which is not merely pacificism in terms of negative peace but a positive peace for freedom.

About appeasing Cagalli, I also agree that plays an important role in Kira's motivation but I also feel that it is likely that Orb represents ideals that are important to him e.g. that Naturals and Coordinators can live together in peace and harmony. The Orb military is an important element in maintaining those ideals, enunciated by Uzumi Attha, which he and Cagalli both share.

I think you're wrong about the Archangel.

They're not necessarily being passive because on an ideal. They're being passive because they have absolutely no idea what is really going on. They want to stop the war, but they have absolutely no idea how to. They have only suspicions that a seemingly sinister conspiracy is unfolding.

Using power for the sake of power is very dangerous and until they actually have a clue what's going on they'll stay like this.

Yes, there are instances where Kira may swoop into battle and disable everyone. He does not do this to stop the war, however. Kira may be a bit of hippy to some people, but he is not an idiot. He knows that his action do not benefit to the resolution of the war. But why he do this? To appease his sister of course. You're all forgeting that Kira is still a big brother and darned if you sit by and let your sister's precious ORB fleet be destroyed.
