Decided to give this series a try despite the lolilicious style of art due to the positive buzz from the yuri and family friend kawaii blog communities. And enjoyed it much to my surprise. The main characters are really young so the art style is actually appropriate. The soft slightly off-focus pastely background scenes with plenty of real life detail was also pleasantly different.
Ep 1. Cast introduction. Nobue. Big sister. Slacker. Smoker. Beer drinker. Wow, I like her already. Chika. Younger sister. Most level headed character. Miu. Hyperactive. Troublemaker. Matsuri. Shy. Fragile. Glasses. A bit of a waste of Ayako Kawasumi.
Nobue runs out of cigarettes and money. The rest make an ashtray for her birthday.
Ep 2. Final lead introduced. Ana. Token foreigner gone native. (Eri from School Rumble, Tina from Ai Yori Aoshi, Asuka from Evangelion etc.) Seiyuu is Mamiko Noto of MariMite’s Shimako Toudou fame.
Tries to regain her culture but is found out by the rest of the gang. They become friends.
Had a few LOL moments. Series looks promising.
