When I asked Murong Fei for advice on building a robot toy model last Sunday, he was a tad surprised as I’ve never built a model in my life. Being someone who knows me well, he soon asked, “So the pilot of this ZAKU is char bor, izzit?” So I’ve finally broken down and succumbed to the dark power of Bandai’s merchandising channeled through the sheer hawtness of Lunamaria Hawke.
And it was more fun than I anticipated. Certainly very good value for SGD 32 (from a shop in Sunshine Plaza). The 1/100 scale model of the ZGMF-1000/A1 Gunner ZAKU Warrior (Lunamaria Hawke custom) was surprisingly intricate especially the moving parts. My only gripe with the design was that the axe couldn’t be kept inside the shield as seen in GSD. But I guess it’s too much to ask. Due to my inexperience and general lack of hands-on ability, a lot of the parts didn’t separate from the frames cleanly and it shows with some unevenness in texture and snapping together. I couldn’t get the stickers on neatly. My two biggest screw-ups were for the ball-and-socket joints linking the extendable beam cannon to the backpack unit (off centre orientation of the sockets) and the power cable (loose). But it was fun. Spent about 5 hours altogether.

I suppose this way you can feel like you have Lunamaria inside of you all the time!
Perhaps you hadn’t heard… Luna and Zaku broke up.
Awkward…
Totali, such innuendo! Ahaha~~
Kabitzin, yeah but the memory of Zaku x Lunamaria burns bright within my chest cavity/pilot module still!!!!111 Post-Zaku = Impulse = Shinn = DO NOT WANT T_____________T
I will repeat this again.
She KISS SHINN >_<
That’s why I ignore her post-Zaku phase. orz
