Lunamaria Hawke: Well, this episode can be called “Orb Attacks!” as they send a carrier and six escorts all the way from the Pacific Ocean to the Black Sea to fight us. Except that I didn’t even get to launch and Freedom suddenly shows up, blows up our Tannhauser positron cannon just as it’s about to fire. And Athrun seems know Freedom’s pilot reeeally well - another romantic rival!?
Lunamaria Hawke: When I tried to get Athrun to join me for breakfast, Lacus was in his room and all looked pretty compromising. Then when I tried hinting that he could make it up to me by taking me on a date to town, he suggested I go out with Shinn. No surprises that I was not happy for most of the ep. Btw, a new pilot as been assigned to the Minerva, Heine Westenfluss whose unit, the ZGMF-X2000 Gouf Ignited, was introduced in the last episode even before he was. And Shinn saved a girl who fell off a cliff into the sea. Athrun then had to recover them both and return her to her brothers. Think her name was Stellar.
Lunamaria Hawke: Well, this was mainly a recap episode that retells the GS and GSD story so far from Shinn’s point of view so I didn’t get much screentime. I thought have to say that my cadet uniform was a lot less flattering. The ZAFT Special Forces outfit is a much more striking red.

Lunamaria Hawke: Lacus performed at the base but Athrun didn’t seem too enthused. We got to meet Chairman Dullindal who praised us all - Shinn got the most praise btw and he blushed like a schoolgirl. The Chairman is also a conspiracy theorist - the wars between PLANT and Earth are the results of the machinations of something called the Logos. And the prospect of spending more time with Athrun was dashed when Lacus The Glomper turned up for dinner. Mou! >_<
Taking up GSD from where Fencedude left off though with a very different focus i.e. Lunamaria Hawke. I think she’s a lovely character, with a good balance of feisty and feminine. And that pink skirt! I wonder if it’s standard issue of her own little inspired mod to the ZAFT Special Forces uniform.
Lunamaria Hawke: I wondered if Athrun was taking precautions against me when he said that, like Shinn, he’s not good at dealing with people. By the way, we broke through a major Earth Alliance military installation, the Lohengrin gate at Gulanchan and liberated the town.
